About Paste
How it works
When you create a paste, your browser encrypts the text with a random key before sending it. The key is part of the link, after the # sign. Browsers never send that part to a server, so the server only stores encrypted data it can't read.
Passwords
If you add a password, it's needed together with the link. The password never leaves your browser.
Expiration
Every paste expires. You can choose from 10 minutes to 1 month. Pastes set to delete after they're viewed are removed as soon as they're opened.
Privacy
Paste doesn't use cookies or analytics and doesn't store IP addresses. Pastes are hidden from search engines.
Limits
Pastes can be up to 512 KB. To prevent abuse, the number of pastes you can create is limited.
